Clean and keep DRH Health facilities and locations in an orderly condition.
Responsibilities (Essential Functions)- Utilize chemicals to clean offices, patients’/residents’ rooms, dorms, classrooms, schools, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas, and any other areas that may require attention.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and/or polish floors.
- Vacuum hallways, stairs, and offices.
- Clean light fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, and window coverings.
- Stock and replenish supplies.
- Empty trash containers.
- Shampoo/clean carpet and buff/polish floors requiring the use of mechanical equipment, as needed.
- Change sheets and replenish linens, as needed.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs, as needed.
- Drive cart or other vehicle, as needed.
- Move furniture and set up tables and chairs, as needed.
- Advise management of supplies, equipment, maintenance, and repair needs.
- Regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Follow dress code policy.
- Utilization of assistive devices for lifting is mandatory.
- Attend training as needed.
- Must adhere to safety protocols at all times.
- Per DRH policy, all required conditions of employment must be met and maintained, including required vaccinations.
- Require respirator and fit testing; testing will be performed on all team members at risk for exposure to airborne infectious diseases, droplet-producing procedures, or any caustic chemicals.
- Implement DRH Standards of Behavior and exhibit behaviors consistent with DRH core values.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of proper and safe use of custodial equipment and chemicals.
- Ability to effectively communicate with others.
- Basic ability to use technology related to job duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to effectively follow applicable regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position.
- Attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent or work‑related experience preferred.
- Blood borne pathogen training.
- For positions requiring travel, a current valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
