Location: Panama

  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot power plant emission monitoring systems
  • Support efficient power generation and regulatory compliance
  • Assist entry-level technicians
  • Complete vendor training as required in the Quality Assurance Plan
  • Perform general maintenance, configuration, and calibration of CEMS, COMS, PM, and CMMS systems
  • Schedule and coordinate daily activities with the supervisor
  • Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and maintain AC/DC control circuits and components
  • Communicate with plant operations about the impact of process changes on emission levels
  • Travel frequently to OG&E generation facilities and spend most working time at power plants
  • Work independently and with teams under general supervision
  • Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
  • CEMS Technician II or Senior qualifications based on candidates' qualifications
  • CEMS Technician II:
    Associate's Degree in a technical discipline and 4 years maintaining instrumentation and controls, testing equipment, or industrial controls; OR Bachelor's Degree in any field and 2 years of relevant experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of journey-level craft technical/mechanical experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant military experience at the journey level or one completed enlistment with DD Form 214
  • CEMS Technician Senior:
    Associate's Degree in a technical discipline and 6 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's Degree in any field and 4 years of relevant experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of journey-level craft technical/mechanical experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant military experience at the journey level or one completed enlistment with DD Form 214
  • Basic regulatory knowledge of air emission monitoring, including 40 CFR Parts 60, 63, and 75
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to properly use electronic test instrumentation
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed instrumentation and control drawings
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 250 feet and work at high elevations for extended periods
  • Ability to work non-standard schedules, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and call-outs
  • Ability to work in extreme wind, heat, and cold
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, flame-retardant clothing, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, fall-protection harness, and respirator
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Required to drive; company and/or personal vehicle use for company business at least 50% of the time
  • Required to obtain and maintain certifications such as NICET Level I or ISA Level I, as required
  • Required Primary Authorized Employee (PAE) certification for required systems
  • Subject to pre-employment drug screen, physical, audiogram baseline, and job-specific physical assessment
  • Safety-sensitive position subject to OGE Energy Corp.'s Drug Testing Plan
  • Strong ability to comply with safety policies and demonstrate Incident and Injury Free leadership
  • Strong knowledge of fundamental instrumentation and control concepts
  • Strong knowledge of emission monitoring hardware maintenance and quality assurance practices
  • Basic knowledge of emission monitoring systems and components
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at various organizational levels
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office, SAP, DAHS, and remote-access software such as iPort and iNet
  • Strong knowledge of analyzers, data loggers, PLCs, and DAHS communication protocols
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude using hand tools
  • Ability to take on additional responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC control circuits and components
