Position: Maintenance Technician I
Location: Vinita

HOME OF HOPE seeks a Maintenance Technician I to support safe, well-maintained residential facilities for homeless children and young mothers. In this entry-level role, you will perform routine preventive maintenance, basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC tasks, and respond to work orders to ensure a clean, functional, and secure campus. You will inspect buildings and equipment, assist with grounds upkeep, support room turnovers, and help with emergency repairs when needed.

Working closely with compassionate, faith-centered staff, you will help maintain a nurturing environment where families can heal, grow, and move toward independence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facility systems, equipment, and grounds
  • Respond to maintenance requests to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff
  • Inspect buildings, fixtures, and life-safety systems; report and address potential hazards
  • Complete basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC tasks within scope and escalate complex issues
  • Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory of tools, supplies, and parts
  • Support set up, breakdown, and upkeep of residential spaces and common areas
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs
  • Follow safety, security, and faith-based organizational policies in all work activities
  • Assist in emergency response for building or systems issues (after-hours as assigned)
  • Collaborate with program and residential staff to minimize disruption to children and families
