Industrial Maintenance Technician

Mom's Meals in Ankeny, IA is seeking a 3rd Shift Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep our refrigerated, ready-to-heat meal production lines running safely and efficiently. In this overnight role, you'll troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support equipment changeovers in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You'll work closely with production and quality teams, following strict safety, LOTO, and food safety procedures while helping ensure reliable operations that support our mission of caring for vulnerable populations nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on food production and packaging equipment during 3rd shift to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to safely restore operations
• Conduct routine inspections, calibrations, and adjustments to keep equipment within food safety and quality standards
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, documenting work performed and parts used in maintenance systems
• Collaborate with production, quality, and sanitation teams to prioritize repairs and support continuous improvement
• Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and GMP procedures in a refrigerated, food-processing environment
• Assist with equipment installations, changeovers, and minor facility repairs as needed
• Maintain organized work areas, tools, and spare parts to support efficient 24/7 operations
