Facilities Manager – Responsibilities- Lead a maintenance team, ensuring equipment availability and a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance program.
- Provide leadership, training and guidance to associates.
- Oversee all production machinery—including sewing machines, conveyors, heat tunnels and automated cutting equipment—to achieve 99.9% uptime.
- Plan, design, budget and facilitate projects related to furniture upholstery and distribution.
- Design, develop and program control systems.
- Manage the maintenance budget, eliminating external services when possible and ensuring competitive pricing for supplies.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment through safety education, problem correction, and employee training.
- Support Williams‑Sonoma’s Mission, Vision and Core Values.
- Drive continuous improvement and customer service excellence.
- Document all maintenance activities, including system malfunctions, timesheets, supply costs, inventory accuracy and project plans.
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal health, safety and employment laws.
- Collaborate cooperatively with peers and subordinates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of supervisory/management experience in industrial maintenance or distribution.
- Electrical and mechanical knowledge with hands‑on experience.
- Proven ability to design, develop and program control systems.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Understanding of power distribution requirements.
- Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
- Strong team‑leading skills and effective verbal and written communication.
- Associate’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and controls systems.
- Work at heights and in unusual positions.
- Operate hand tools safely.
- Lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
- Operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, pallet‑jacks and hand‑carts.
- Tolerate exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and motion around moving equipment.
- Maintain eye/hand coordination, foot and wrist dexterity for repetitive motions.
- Work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces; tolerate vibration and vibration‑heavy environments.
- Walk/stand for 100% of the day.
