SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various equipment and facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of safety and functionality within our facilities.
This person will also have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license to drive the company van 25% of the time to transport residents for errands and other events.
- Replace burned out light bulbs in common area and entrances.
- Address plumbing and drain issues.
- General maintenance related cleaning: light lens covers, interior and exterior.
- Walk parking lots and grounds to collect debris, report damage.
- Assist with HVAC check-up and filter change.
- For winter, clear snow & ice from all walks & apply ice-melt.
- Landscaping/mowing/snow-removal.
- Perform parking lot patching, crack filling, and lot striping.
- Replace damaged ceiling tiles.
- Minor electrical repairs.
- Apply insecticide and herbicide as needed.
- Apply new safety paint to areas as needed (handicap areas, curbs, etc.).
- General painting as needed.
- Reset parking lot light timers to match sunrise/sunset as needed.
- Open/Close sprinkler system to match the season and as needed.
- Drive our residents to and from grocery stores, pharmacies, fish fry events, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Attention to detail and general surroundings.
- Friendly personality.
- Time management skills and efficiency.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently sometimes, but also can take and follow directions.
- Some hands on/technical skills with figuring out how to do minor repairs.
- Ability to climb ladders needed.
- Pool maintenance and certification a plus.
- Electrical/HVAC certification and experience a plus.
- Prior experience in General Maintenance a plus but not required.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
