Maintenance Technician

Position at The Cosgrove Apartments in Omaha, NE, a brand-new property with cozy studios, one- and two-bedroom floor plans featuring designer faux wood flooring and granite countertops.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a quality living experience for residents, providing leadership, maintenance, repairs, and customer service.

Hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with an on-call requirement for emergency maintenance on weekends and evenings.

Essential Job Functions
  • Perform all interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings and grounds according to established procedures.
  • Regularly communicate with supervisor about the status of service requests and make-ready units.
  • Complete vacant units to make-ready status per established procedures.
  • Inspect all work performed by outside contractors.
  • Inspect and/or perform exterior maintenance ensuring high level curb appeal.
  • Ensure that all Federal, State and County Health and Safety Codes, Laws and Standards are followed.
  • Regularly inspect common areas to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
  • Participate in resident functions as requested by Management.
  • Maintenance team members may be required to be on-call.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
  • HVAC certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent field required.
  • Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and general building trades required.
  • Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision.
  • Must have basic understanding of the English language and be able to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public.
