Position Summary:Act as a lead worker and assist the supervisor. Perform custodial duties for an area of the campus.
Responsibilities:- Educate Immediate Staff: Educate immediate staff on the importance of working in a team environment when performing all job responsibilities. (20% of time)
- Assist and Support Supervisors: May assist and support the supervisors by performing their duties in their absence. (20% of time)
- Inspect Custodial Services: Inspect custodial services provided in the assigned area. (10% of time)
- Scheduling: Perform limited scheduling duties for staff assigned to the area and shift. (10% of time)
- Orient New Custodial Staff: Orient new custodial staff assigned to area. (10% of time)
- Perform Minor and Routine Maintenance: Perform minor and routine maintenance in assigned areas to include changing light bulbs, cleaning equipment and providing preventive maintenance on cleaning equipment. (10% of time)
- Perform Floor Care: Perform floor care by stripping and scrubbing floors and vacuuming and shampooing carpets. (10% of time)
- Operate Cleaning Equipment: Operate cleaning equipment. (10% of time)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of custodial experience.
- One year of supervisory experience.
