Position Summary

Act as a lead worker and assist the supervisor. Perform custodial duties for an area of the campus.

• Educate Immediate Staff: Educate immediate staff on the importance of working in a team environment when performing all job responsibilities.
• Assist and Support Supervisors: May assist and support the supervisors by performing their duties in their absence.
• Inspect Custodial Services: Inspect custodial services provided in the assigned area.
• Scheduling: Perform limited scheduling duties for staff assigned to the area and shift.
• Orient New Custodial Staff: Orient new custodial staff assigned to area.
• Perform Minor and Routine Maintenance: Perform minor and routine maintenance in assigned areas to include changing light bulbs, cleaning equipment, and providing preventative maintenance on cleaning equipment.
• Perform Floor Care: Perform floor care by stripping and scrubbing floors, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets.
• Operate Cleaning Equipment: Operate cleaning equipment.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of custodial experience
• Valid license or certification as required (none specified)

• One year of supervisory experience
