We're hiring a Floor Cleaning Technician Lead in Omaha to oversee evening cleaning operations and ensure every building meets the highest quality standards.
Position: Floor Cleaning Technician Lead
Location: Omaha, NE
Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Friday, 5:30 PM start time (Weekend project work as assigned)
Reports To: Night Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Floor Cleaning Technician Lead coordinates and leads evening hard floor and carpet cleaning operations across assigned buildings. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll work alongside your team to ensure all cleaning is performed safely, efficiently, and up to company standards. You'll also be responsible for accurate reporting through SIMON and Inside systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Start of Shift
- Clock in and attend 4:30 PM huddle
- Assign work orders for the week
- Check machines and chemicals prior to use (buffers, scrubbers, extractors)
- Ensure proper chemical dilution ratios
- Enforce safety procedures and proper PPE use
- Lead floor and carpet technicians
- Track crew hours and attendance via SIMON
- Inspect completed floors and carpets for quality
- Submit job summaries with before/after photos in SIMON
- Report issues and maintenance needs through SIMON and Inside
- Clean and properly store equipment after use
- Confirm all assigned areas are completed and secured
- Verify reports and documentation are submitted
- Clock out
- Train new technicians on proper maintenance procedures
- Monitor and reorder chemical supplies
- Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Bilingual is a plus
- 1-2 years of hard floor and carpet care experience
- Ability to effectively lead small teams
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, SDS, and PPE
- Familiarity with SIMON or similar reporting systems preferred
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Complete nightly assignments on schedule
- Maintain equipment readiness
- Achieve high inspection and client satisfaction scores
- Submit accurate daily reports
- Maintain zero safety or compliance violations
