We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Floor Technician to join our facilities team. The Floor Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining various types of flooring, including tile, carpet, vinyl, concrete and hardwood, to ensure a clean, safe, and attractive environment. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for floor care and a strong work ethic who are looking for part-time hours.
Key Responsibilities:- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using manual and powered equipment
- Strip, wax, buff, and polish hard surface floors as needed
- Extract and spot clean carpets using carpet cleaning machines
- Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues
- Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE at all times
- Assist with general janitorial duties when required
- Monitor and restock floor care supplies
- Communicate any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors promptly
- Follow established procedures and schedules for floor maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically able to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate cleaning equipment
- Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Skills:
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards
- Experience in healthcare, commercial, or industrial cleaning environments
