Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Installation Technician

At MGX, we keep critical lifting assets ready for the next mission. As a Maintenance Technologist on our shop team, you’ll combine precision diagnostics with hands-on repairs across mobile cranes and boom trucks—delivering reliability customers can trust. You’ll report directly to the Service Manager and own your outcomes from inspection through validation.
Your impact- Lead end-to-end crane inspections to uncover issues before they become downtime.
- Restore performance on mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes; resolve electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Use micrometers and gauges to assess component wear; decode manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings to chart the right fix.
- Verify repairs by testing mechanical/electronic/electrical/hydraulic systems to OEM standards.
- Prepare jobs by confirming parts availability and drawing accuracy.
- Execute comprehensive annual inspections with accuracy and completeness.
- Capture clear documentation—work reports, hours/time sheets and overviews, expense reports.
- Operate independently, deliver excellent customer service, and support other duties as assigned.
- HS Diploma or GED; 2+ years as a Crane Mechanic/Technician preferred.
- Comfort with Grove RT & TMS, Grove GMK European cranes, Manitowoc EPIC/Traditional, and National boom trucks preferred.
- Proficiency reading electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Strong communication and a client-focused approach.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record preferred.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Personal tool investment: full set of hand tools up to 1.5 inches.
- $4,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of continuous service

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.
