Position: Custodial Supervisor (10:15pm-7:15am)

Responsibilities
  • Supervise up to fifteen custodial staff in a designated building or group of buildings on campus during assigned shift.
  • Develop work schedules and record time and attendance of custodial staff.
  • Establish work assignments for special projects, absentee coverage, and snow removal.
  • Train staff in methods of cleaning and safe handling of equipment and materials.
  • Inspect and evaluate custodial services provided.
  • Prepare required written activity reports and required labor records.
  • Perform custodial duties in areas as assigned.
  • Respond to emergencies during non-working hours.
  • Inspect equipment for safe and effective operation.
  • Control inventory of custodial supplies and prepare supply orders.
Shift and Compensation

Shift: Third shift Sunday night through Friday morning, 10:15 p.m. – 7:15 a.m. (eligible for 10% shift differential).

Posted Salary: $24.00 per hour.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years supervisory experience or equivalent.
  • 1+ years custodial experience or equivalent.
  • High level of verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Knowledge and skills in operating large cleaning equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to provide direct feedback, coaching, and corrective action.
  • Extremely well-organized and able to organize others.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements; must have a smart cell phone for use during normal work hours and for after‑hours contact.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer experience and excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
Other Requirements
  • Pre‑placement driving record review required.
  • Physical requirement:
    Yes.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required; subject to DOT approved pre‑employment & random testing for alcohol and controlled substances.
  • Criminal history background check required.
