As an Engineer I you will be responsible for keeping all building and equipment in good repair, minimizing downtime by providing day‑to‑day maintenance and performing preventative maintenance of the hotel.

• Perform daily shift reports, including documenting all calls in the Engineer’s log and monitoring and closing out calls through the Marriott GXP system.
• Adhere to all OSHA standards and procedures.
• Maintain building interior and exterior.
• Foster excellent guest/associate rapport by promptly addressing requests.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all FF&E.
• Assist in cost control for heat, power, light, sewer and water, and provide recommendations for improved methods and procedures.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain the following.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous engineering experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CFC certification for refrigerant handling and Power Engineering Training Program certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as lockout/tagout, SDS, safety awareness information, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Excellent communication with guests and associates.
• Analytical skills to diagnose problems, identify a course of action, implement solutions, and work as an independent mechanic.
• Professional representation of the company in a courteous and well‑groomed manner.
• Proficient use and understanding of hand and power tools.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, twist and stretch.
• Flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and ability to work under pressure.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.
