Janitorial Worker / Maintenance Technician
This role focuses on performing daily janitorial and basic maintenance tasks to keep the facility clean, safe, and operational. You will maintain restrooms, break areas, and exterior grounds, while supporting general building and facility upkeep in a demanding, high-heat industrial environment.
Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, floors, and fixtures, to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Clean and maintain the break room, including wiping surfaces, emptying trash, and keeping appliances and common areas tidy.
- Perform general janitorial duties throughout the building, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
- Maintain exterior areas by picking up trash, cigarette butts, and other debris to keep the grounds clean and presentable.
- Support building maintenance tasks as needed, including basic facility upkeep and minor repairs.
- Janitorial experience in an industrial or facility setting.
- At least 6 months of light electrical experience.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in heat up to approximately 130 degrees.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Reliability in maintaining a consistent first-shift schedule (5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday)
- Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail in a busy plant environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled industrial facility.
- Ability to adapt to working around older equipment as well as newer automated machinery.
- Willingness to perform both indoor and outdoor cleaning tasks.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with coworkers.
- Flexibility to handle varied janitorial and maintenance tasks as needs arise.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a non-climate-controlled industrial facility where machines generate steam, making the environment hot, especially in the summer when temperatures can reach around 120 degrees and higher in certain areas. The position follows a first-shift schedule of 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The dress code requires jeans, a work shirt, and steel-toe footwear to support safety and durability in a demanding industrial setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
