Performs Grounds Maintenance tasks at customer locations.

• Mow lawns in accordance with contract specifications
• Remove grass clippings, trash and debris
• Trim tree branches, weeds, hedges and shrubs
• Edge sidewalks, curbs, parking areas, and other surfaced areas
• Care for landscaped areas such as flower beds, shrubs and trees, mulch and weed as needed
• Operate backpack blower by fueling, positioning harness securely on shoulders and guiding air stream to clear surfaced areas
• Clean and inspect all work tools, working areas, and assigned vehicle
• Safely operate all maintenance equipment according to manufacturer’s guidelines and all safety policies and procedures
• Wear all safety related protective equipment
• Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as necessary for contract compliance
• Must be knowledgeable about relevant safety rules and practices
• Must be able to understand and follow training instructions

Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds

Physical dexterity to operate and control ride-on and walk-behind power equipment

Frequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise fumes, dust, etc.)

Grounds Keeping Work is performed April 1 through October 31. Grounds Keepers will have the option of moving to one of the Janitorial contracts during the off season at the same pay rate.
