Store Cleaning Associate

Home Goods, a leading retailer in the Manufacturing sector, is seeking a reliable Store Cleaning Associate to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will perform routine cleaning of sales floors, restrooms, breakrooms, and backroom areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal. You'll follow safety and chemical-handling procedures, report maintenance issues, and coordinate with store staff to reduce disruption to shoppers while supporting an organized, efficient store environment.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust sales floor, restrooms, breakrooms, and backroom areas
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces per safety standards
• Empty trash and recyclables; handle basic waste segregation
• Clean entrance, fitting room, and high-traffic areas to ensure safe walkways
• Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report replenishment needs
• Follow OSHA and company safety, chemical handling, and PPE procedures
• Support basic stockroom organization and light fixture cleaning as needed
• Report maintenance or safety issues to store management promptly
• Collaborate with store team to minimize disruption to customers while cleaning
