Position Summary
The Accountant 1 position will be responsible for managing and overseeing a company's fixed assets, ensuring accurate recording and tracking of acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation. This role involves maintaining fixed asset ledgers, performing regular reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The Accountant 1 will collaborate with various departments to ensure proper capitalization of assets.

Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results- Maintain accurate records of additions, transfers, and retirements in the fixed asset register.
- Ensure proper capitalization of assets and accurate calculation of depreciation (book & tax).
- Monitor, compile, and close Construction in Progress (CIP) project costs in asset accounts.
- Perform monthly reconciliations between the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with fixed asset accounting and financial reporting is preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and possess ability to navigate and use other web-based systems as necessary
- Possess a positive attitude and establish good working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $52,236 USD - $60,000 USD annually plus bonus eligibility. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
