Accountant, Big 4 Experience Required – Work From Home

We are currently looking for an Accountant for a great work from home opportunity. Candidates should have no more than 1 – 3 years of Big 4 accounting experience. This position is 100% Remote.

• Perform day-to-day accounting duties primarily in accounts payable, cash management, monthly closes, regulatory reporting and other duties as assigned.
• Cash management responsibilities include transferring cash between entities, processing disbursements across multiple bank accounts and currencies and performing bank reconciliations.
• General ledger responsibilities include preparing and posting journal entries and assisting with general ledger maintenance.
• Assist with monthly close activities such as preparing and posting journal entries and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with financial and regulatory audits.
• Understand and apply regulatory and accounting rules to internal processes and procedures.
• Interact directly with company personnel and management as needed.
• Assist on projects and other ad hoc assignments as needed.
• Collaborating with other team members to help solve problems and make process improvements / automation.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher).
• No more than 1 – 3 years of Big 4 accounting experience is required.
• Sound understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with General Ledger (GL).
• Proficient in MS Office software, with advanced knowledge of Excel (VBA/Macros a plus).
• Basic programming skills and/or SQL knowledge a plus.
• CPA a plus.
• Knowledge of Great Plains/Management Reporter/Workplace/Paper Save/SQL, Trading operations, Financial statements’ audits are a plus.
• Technologically focused with a drive toward efficiency, process improvement and automation.
