Job PurposeFully Accountable, a BELAY company, is seeking an experienced and versatile Controller for immediate full‑time, W‑2 employment. This role will join a high‑performing team of bookkeepers, staff accountants, and CFOs dedicated to delivering high‑quality financial services to a diverse client base.

The Controller will play a key role in supporting clients by delivering accurate financial reporting, insights, and analysis to inform business decision‑making. This position partners closely with business owners and internal teams to ensure financial clarity, optimize resources, and drive sustainable growth. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of client accounting operations while maintaining a high standard of service and professionalism.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document record‑keeping and accounting systems.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, and expenses.
- Perform Quick Books cleanup through journal entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts, merchant accounts, Pay Pal accounts, and other financial platforms.
- Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.
- Creative and critical thinking skills.
- Willingness to learn, try new things, and adapt.
- 2–3 years of Quick Books experience.
- Experience working in Microsoft Excel.
- Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
- Experience preparing and analyzing financial statement reports, balance sheets, P&Ls, and ad hoc reports.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Ability to communicate with clients in a professional manner.
- Attentive to detail and able to multi‑task efficiently.
- Willingness to take calculated risks.
- Ability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
- Team player attitude with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
BELAY Corporate offers full‑time remote work, requiring a dedicated, distraction‑free home office for standard Monday‑Friday business hours, with occasional travel for some roles.
