Tax Senior
We are seeking a Tax Senior to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of remote work alongside scheduled in-office days. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of public accounting experience and be actively tracking toward their CPA designation. You will manage complex tax compliance and planning activities while helping guide junior staff members.
Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations; supervising daily workflow and reviewing the tax working papers of staff accountants for accuracy; researching technical federal and state tax issues to support client planning and strategy; identifying tax savings opportunities and assisting in implementing effective tax minimization strategies; communicating directly with clients to gather financial data and resolve tax compliance matters;
and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications include a bachelor degree in accounting or a related field, 3+ years of progressive tax compliance experience in public accounting, an active CPA license or a dedicated CPA candidate actively pursuing the exam, strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements, and excellent analytical, organizational, and team leadership abilities.
