Controller, Accounting, Financial Compliance

We are looking for a Controller to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting leader to own the full accounting function and play a key role in financial decision-making, in a fully remote role based out of Atlanta, GA.

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end and year-end close
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage the annual audit process and serve as primary liaison with external auditors
• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls across the accounting function
• Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and treasury-related activities
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals
• Ensure compliance with tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements
• Evaluate and improve accounting systems, processes, and reporting tools

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit processes
• Experience managing and developing accounting teams
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively in a fully remote environment
