The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full-time Administrative Assistant II positions in the Office of Workforce Development, Workforce Data & Program Quality
. This position will be responsible for providing intermediate to advanced technical-level support and office administration. These positions are located at the TCSG System Office in Atlanta at 1800 Century Place, Atlanta, GA 30345.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs and completes tasks and assignments which support management in organizing and executing routine activities and special projects.
  • Provides support and may serve as a liaison with outside organizations to gather to report program-related information.
  • Provides administrative support with the planning and coordination of meetings, conferences, and seminars, including taking of meeting minutes and distributing summaries.
  • Completes complex processing of documents and/or transaction for assigned organizational unit, program, and/or specialized function/activity.
  • Conducts research using a variety of sources to complete, prepare, process, and/or generate reports and other documentation, or to respond to inquiries, questions, or requests.
  • Enter data from forms, records, reports, and/or other sources into computer for purposes such as maintaining databases, updating directories, i.e.
  • Use computer software as a tool for performing clerical assignments.
  • Monitors use of and maintain supplies, equipment, and/or facilities for assigned work unit or program area; and
  • Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree in a related field and One (1) year of work-related experience or High school diploma or equivalent and Three (2) years of work-related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience working for a WIOA funded program.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
  • Basic understanding of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)
  • Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs (i.e., word, power point, excel).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
  • Decision making and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once and prioritize workload.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK CONDITIONS
  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment during standard business hours. Limited remote work may be available in accordance with agency policy and operational needs.
  • Work performance involves light physical duties, including intermittent sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Employees must be able to lift up to ten (10) pounds
