The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full‑time Administrative Assistant II positions in the Office of Workforce Development
. This position will be responsible for providing intermediate to advanced technical‑level support and office administration. These positions are located at the TCSG System Office in Atlanta at 1800 Century Place, Atlanta, GA 30345.
- Performs and completes tasks and assignments which support management in organizing and executing routine activities and special projects.
- Provides support and may serve as a liaison with outside organizations to gather to report program‑related information.
- Provides administrative support with the planning and coordination of meetings, conferences, and seminars.
- Completes complex processing of documents and/or transaction for assigned organizational unit, program, and/or specialized function/activity.
- Conducts research using a variety of sources to complete, prepare, process, and/or generate reports and other documentation, or to respond to inquiries, questions, or requests.
- Enter data from forms, records, reports, and/or other sources into computer for purposes such as maintaining databases, updating directories, i.e.
- Use computer software (Adobe, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as a tool for performing clerical assignments.
- Monitors use of and maintain supplies, equipment, and/or facilities for assigned work unit or program area; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Associates degree in a related field and One(1) year of work‑related experience
* OR* High school diploma or equivalent
* and* Three (2) years of work‑related experience
- Previous experience working for a WIOA funded program.
- Basic understanding of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)
- Skill in the operation of computers and job‑related software programs (i.e., word, power point, excel).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
- Decision making and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once and prioritize workload.
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment during standard business hours. Limited remote work may be available in accordance with agency policy and operational needs.
- Work performance involves light physical duties, including intermittent sitting, standing, and walking.
- Employees must be able to lift up to ten (10) pounds.
