7), and up to 21 paid holidays. The salary range for this role is $46,000-$49,000.

What you’ll be responsible for

As part of the JUF Events Department, you will be responsible for the successful execution of JUF’s extensive calendar of events, managing a portfolio of in person and virtual events.

What you’ll be doing
  • Develop, plan, and execute JUF events, in coordination with the department lead staff of the event.
  • Handle the logistics, staffing, scheduling, catering, staging, branding, signage, and audio/visual needs for all events.
  • Manage event budgets and document/record all expenses.
  • Research, develop, and maintain relationships with off‑site event venues/locations, catering, and production vendors.
  • Organize and lead site visits.
  • Organize and lead pre‑event catering tastings.
  • Coordinate all event details with department lead staff.
  • Support JUF Campaign and mandatory campaign‑related activities on an ongoing basis.
What you need to succeed
  • Required:
    • 1-3 years event planning experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with colleagues under pressure.
    • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with virtual event best practices.
    • Knowledge of Jewish community, culture, heritage, traditions, and Jewish Communal Services.
