DescriptionThis position maintains accurate records of Campus Services employee hours, including (but not limited to) regular work hours, overtime, absences, and leave requests such as vacation, sick, or personal time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Ensures that all time entries are properly documented, coded, and approved by supervisors before payroll processing.
- Submits consolidated time & attendance data to the payroll department for timely wage processing which also may include individual check requests (both in cycle & out of cycle).
- Audits time entries for accuracy and completeness, verifying details against work schedules and leave records.
- Ensures compliance with company policies including but not limited to pay, overtime, and leave.
- Generates reports on labor metrics for management review.
- Examples include overtime hours, absenteeism rates, and departmental attendance trends.
- Interacts with employees and supervisors to resolve discrepancies, answer payroll-related inquiries, and provides guidance on timekeeping procedures.
- May also train staff on using timekeeping systems and ensuring consistent application of policies.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, and three years of payroll or related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
- Knowledge of Kronos and People Soft is preferred.
This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
