As a Content & Brand Story Intern in Emory University's Department of Communications and Marketing for Summer 2026, you'll become part of a select intern cohort that will be immersed in the higher education communications experience. As an integral member of the Content & Brand Story team, your role will involve creating compelling written and visual content, ensuring accuracy and consistency through meticulous editing and proofreading, actively contributing to digital communications platforms, and bringing innovative ideas to enhance our branding and marketing initiatives. This
unique internship experience isn't just about supporting day-to-day tasks; it's about flourishing in a collaborative environment, actively participating in campaigns with real-world implications and seizing professional development opportunities designed to empower your career ambitions.
Responsibilities:
* Write articles, social media posts, digital newsletter content, and more.
* Edit and proofread a wide range of content according to AP Style.
* Design engaging graphics for social media using Canva.
* Update website content, online calendars, and email newsletters.
* Provide new ideas for creative direction and actively take part in brainstorming sessions.
* Dive into a wealth of professional development opportunities, broadening your horizons and building your network.
* Collaborate on a campaign project from conception to execution.
Qualifications:
* Cover letter and journalistic writing samples required
* Available for 20 hours each week during the summer 2026 semester.
* Pursuing or recently completed a degree (B.S., B.A., M.A., or M.S.) with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
* Demonstrated excellence in writing and presenting.
* Strong relationship-building and client service skills.
* A detail-oriented and organized approach to tasks.
* An interest in writing, public relations, and/or public health.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
* A positive and professional attitude.
* Knowledge of graphic design and platforms such as Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.
* Experience with photo and video software applications for social media and digital publishing is a plus.
* Experience with digital platforms and tools such as Salesforce, Cascade, Sprout Social, Google Analytics and Wrike is a plus.
NOTE:
Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee
