Student Multimedia Assistant

Emory Photo/Video is looking for a creative and dependable Emory student to join our team as a
Student Multimedia Assistant
. This position offers hands‑on experience in photography, videography, photo and video editing, and digital asset management while working alongside professional photographers and media professionals.

What You’ll Do

• Assist Emory photographers and media professionals with photo and video shoots, events, portraits, and other assignments.
• Capture photographs and video content for Emory projects, events, social media, and other communications needs, as appropriate.
• Assist with setting up, organizing, and maintaining photography and video equipment.
• Edit and organize photographs using tools such as Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop.
• Edit video footage and create polished video content using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or similar tools.
• Assist with basic video production tasks, including organizing footage, selecting clips, adding music or graphics, and preparing videos for digital platforms.
• Select, prepare, and upload photo and video assets to Emory’s digital asset management system.
• Add and update photo and video metadata, including captions, keywords, dates, locations, and other relevant information.
• Help maintain an organized and searchable photo and video library.
• Support other photography, videography, video editing, and digital media projects as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Current Emory University student.
• Interest and experience in photography, videography, or multimedia production.
• Basic knowledge of digital cameras, photography, and video production.
• Familiarity with photo and video editing software, such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro, is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, reliable, creative, and willing to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

NOTE:

Position tasks are generally required to be performed in‑person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
