HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Involvement inall phases of the design process from conceptual development through artwork production.
  • Participate in recommendations for concept, design, art direction, and production for a variety of two- and three-dimensional graphics,signage and exhibits.
  • Under direct supervision and partnership with the environmental graphics team, design a variety of two- and three-dimensional graphics, maps, print layouts for exhibits and signage.
  • With guidance, work with selected clients andparticipatein the interpretation and translation of their expressed needs and ideas into concepts.
  • Prepare photo visualizations and mockups of proposed signage for placement,content and/or usage.
  • Prepare camera-ready artwork for fabrication.
  • Work with vendors/fabricators.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, or related design field required.
  • Minimum of 2 yearsof related experience required.
  • Strong designportfolio.
  • Strong typography skills.
  • Mustdemonstrateskill and interest in 3-dimensional design, way finding, exhibitiondesignand environments.
  • Must be analytical and an independent thinker.
  • Proficiencyon Macintosh in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesignrequired, skills in AutoCAD and Sketchupa plus.
  • Strong designorientation, communication skills, ability to collaborative well and attention to detail are essential.

The salary range for this position to be filled in the Chicago office is $53,188 $ 62,063 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
