Overview
Cannon Design is hiring an entry‑level Designer for its Chicago office. This full‑time role involves a design/technical focus and participation in multidisciplinary project teams under a Licensed Architect.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the design process using software platforms such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Sketch Up.
- Build physical building models.
- Produce architectural documentation under supervisory direction.
- Produce graphics materials and images for client presentations under supervisory direction.
- Assist in product research under direct supervision of the Project Architect or Project Manager.
- Research building code information as directed by the Project Architect.
- Participate in the review of shop drawings and submittals under supervisory direction.
- Attend in‑house project team meetings.
- Visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- All employees are expected to complete mandatory compliance training within required time frames and adhere to internal policies and the Code of Conduct.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field required by the hire date; preference for accredited programs.
- Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Proficiency with Revit and Enscape preferred; proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Hourly base pay ranges from $24.57 to $27.64 in the Chicago, IL office. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
