About the Position
Specialty accepted:  Remote Medical Director - Internal Medicine, Geriatrician, Hospitalist, and Emergency Medicine MD Accepted

Start date or shifts:  ASAP – Ongoing

Daily schedule:  Remote, flexible full-time schedule

Practice setting:  Telehealth / Utilization Management

Types of procedures:  Comprehensive review of medical records; synthesis of complex clinical scenarios; determinations based on national guidelines, CMS requirements, and Humana policies

Number of patients:  N/A – Administrative Review Role

Ages:  Medicare and adult population

Additional information:  This is a remote position within the U.S. Medical Directors perform expert medical necessity reviews, communicate determinations to external providers, and ensure compliance with CMS and organizational standards. Must hold an MD or DO degree with at least five years of post-residency clinical experience and current, unrestricted licensure in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Board certification through an ABMS specialty required.

Experience in hospital-based care, utilization management, or Medicare Advantage is strongly preferred.
