Job Summary
The Learning Experience Designer I, Continuing Professional Development supports the design and development of member-facing education and other learning initiatives across ASCP. Reporting to the Senior Director of Learning Innovation, this role works closely with the Learning Innovation team and collaborates cross-functionally across the organization to meet a variety of educational design needs.
This position is well suited for a professional who is building experience in learning design and who is adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable engaging with members, faculty, and internal stakeholders. The role includes designing new educational materials, enhancing the look, feel, and functionality of existing content, and planning and hosting webinars. This position is focused on supporting ongoing internal requests and evolving educational needs across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop member-facing educational content and learning experiences.
- Support the educational design needs of departments across the organization.
- Collaborate with the Learning Innovation team and cross-functional partners to develop, improve, and maintain educational offerings.
- Plan, coordinate, and host webinars and other virtual educational activities.
- Update and enhance the look, feel, and functionality of existing educational content.
- Work with faculty, members, and internal stakeholders to support educational initiatives and ensure a positive learner experience.
- Support the development of accessible, user-friendly educational materials.
- Contribute to the development and revision of educational activities in alignment with applicable accreditation standards and organizational requirements.
- Assist in incorporating educational outcomes, learner feedback, and related data into content updates and continuous improvement efforts.
- Apply learning design principles to create engaging, accessible, and effective educational materials.
- Support revisions, improvements, and updates to educational content based on program needs, feedback, and organizational priorities.
- Manage multiple requests and priorities in a responsive, service-oriented environment.
- Maintain awareness of tools, technologies, and practices that support professional development and member education.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1-2 years of experience in education, professional development, training, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort interacting with members, faculty, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and respond to evolving organizational needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
- Ability to learn new technologies, tools, and processes quickly.
- Experience in professional education, association education, healthcare education, or adult learning.
- Experience planning or supporting webinars or virtual educational events.
- Experience with content development and educational design.
- Familiarity with RISE and Articulate Storyline.
- Basic experience with audio editing and video editing.
- Familiarity with learning management systems.
- Experience working with continuing education, accreditation standards, educational outcomes, or learner evaluation processes.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and learning design best practices.
- Ability to create clear, engaging, and user-friendly educational materials for professional audiences.
- Strong customer service orientation and responsiveness to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple requests while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems and tools.
- Comfort facilitating webinars and interacting with professional audiences.
- Basic knowledge of educational outcomes and continuous improvement practices.
- Familiarity with accreditation-related requirements in continuing or professional education environments is helpful.
This position is eligible for remote work. Normal working hours are 7.5 hours per day. Occasional travel is required.
