Open Rank – tenure‑track or research‑track positions in TB epidemiology and clinical research.
Position SummaryFaculty will join a multidisciplinary team at the Emory/Georgia Tuberculosis Research Advancement Center (TRAC), engaging in impactful TB research, collaborative studies, grant writing, teaching graduate‑level courses, and mentoring students and trainees.
Responsibilities- Lead independent research projects on all aspects of TB including transmission, vulnerable populations, TB/HIV, pediatric TB, post‑TB sequelae, and non‑communicable diseases.
- Secure and manage extramural funding as a principal investigator.
- Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Teach graduate‑level MPH, MSPH, PhD, and DrPH courses and mentor PhD and postdoctoral trainees.
- Collaborate with faculty from the School of Medicine, Vaccine Center, National Primate Research Center, and partner institutions.
- PhD or equivalent in epidemiology or related field.
- Proven track record of TB research (or related field). Evidence of scholarship, grant awards, and published work.
- Demonstrated potential to become an independent investigator and graduate‑level teacher.
- Strong record of teaching or mentorship experience.
- Eligibility to work in the state of Georgia; residency required.
- Experience with TB transmission modeling or advanced epidemiological methods.
- Demonstrated success in securing extramural funding.
- Experience in multidisciplinary collaborations.
- Familiarity with TB/HIV, pediatric TB or other vulnerable populations.
This role allows regular work‑from‑home; however, faculty must commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule as needed. Remote work status may change with notice.
