Position Overview
The Office of Undergraduate Admission seeks enthusiastic candidates who are interested in representing the University of Arizona and the division of Enrollment Management. The Regional Coordinator of Georgia Recruitment will develop and oversee all Atlanta-based recruitment efforts during a period of growth and transition. This position is the main point of contact for prospective students and provides the first opportunity for them to discover Arizona and the Wildcat community.
The Regional Coordinator manages recruiting activities in the assigned territory with extensive travel year‑round, handles administrative functions related to budgeting and expenditures for recruitment activities, and acts as an effective communicator and creative problem solver. They initiate proactive outreach to prospective and incoming Wildcat students, interpret admission, academic, and student service policies, and evaluate applicants for admission.
This role works from a home office with a flexible schedule outside of the traditional Monday‑Friday 8 a.m.‑5 p.m. pattern. The position is based in Georgia, requires frequent travel to surrounding areas and other out‑of‑state territories, and is eligible for a geographic differential of 5‑10% when located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.
Travel and Territory Management- Serve as a primary resource for prospective students and families to support the recruitment, application process, and enrollment.
- Plan, organize, and attend various recruitment and yield events that occur during the day, evening, and on weekends.
- Identify, register for, and attend high school and college visits, college and transfer fairs, and other recruitment opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Manage a budget for the assigned territory, including purchasing travel expenses and submitting timely expense reports.
- Assist other regional admission staff with recruitment events/programs, including support outside the assigned territory and potential limited international travel.
- Travel frequently to in‑state and out‑of‑state meetings and events.
- Communicate the value of an Arizona education through conversation, presentation, college fairs, and written communication.
- Provide initial financial aid and scholarship guidance.
- Support students in completing their applications by submitting materials and required documents within the assigned territory, mindful of key dates and deadlines.
- Oversee the assigned territory market to establish benchmarks to reach overall recruitment goals.
- Read, evaluate, and recommend admissions decisions via a comprehensive application review model for prospective students from the assigned territory and other students as assigned.
- Counsel applicants, parents/guardians, and counselors on the application process, admissions decisions, and merit scholarships.
- Utilize training, sound personal judgment, and experience to consider each student’s full academic history in context of where they lived, learned, and their life experiences to make recommendations for admission.
- Participate in committee review and shared decision‑making.
- Use Technolutions Slate CRM and analytical tools to maintain a consistent and data‑driven process free from bias, in alignment with university and enrollment goals.
- Counsel prospective students and families about admissions, financial aid, academic programs, and student life at the University.
- Maintain professional affiliations local, regional, and national in correlation with enrollment goals.
- Communicate via SMS text, email, phone and other channels with active engagement and timely follow‑up.
- Accurately record engagement, interactions, and work, navigating multiple university systems of record and client relation management systems.
- Develop and grow partnerships with community college advisors and other campus partners.
- Coordinate with college counselors and advisors to nurture relationships and establish rapport.
