• Is proficient in 3D modeling using Revit, with specific experience in steel and concrete structures; creates families and fully utilizes the live functions available in the platform to maintain intelligent designs
• Creates structural models based on project needs, Client direction and verbal direction
• Able to advise and develop department standards and processes notes and details for use in the construction documents
• Establish workflows of assigned scope
• Takes complete ownership of structural scope; meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements
• Delegates to junior staff when appropriate
• Highly proficient in checking own work and coordinating work with related disciplines to avoid clashes
• Able to mentor junior designers by assisting with finding answers to technical questions and concerns
• Proactive in advancing workflows, systems, and tools within the discipline, including design automation skills; embraces emerging technologies
• Highly focused on quality, ensuring conformance with established structural standards, project standards, and project delivery processes
• Able to provide quality reviews of models and documents prepared by others to assure design and project standards are met
• This position may require you to serve as a Lead Designer; in this role, you will be further expected to
• Provide leadership for a large team of designers, establishing project procedures as needed, training and developing your team, building and maintaining team morale
• Coordinate the work of the designer team, assigning work, balancing workloads, monitoring progress towards deadlines, and ensuring quality standards are met
• Coordinate work executed out of remote offices
• Take responsibility for internal, cross-discipline, and external project reviews
• Attend project meetings and take an active role to help your team resolve concerns and solve problems across disciplines

• Able to perform field walks; though not common, this may include climbing ladders or walking/standing for extended periods of time
• You may be asked to support work for/in other offices (possibly including temporary duty assignments)
• Occasional business travel may be required for this role
• Hybrid work includes working in the local office in accordance with the team schedule. Attendance at in-person meetings is expected when scheduled as such.
• Work hours should align with the needs of the team and project(s).

• Minimum of 10 years of drafting/design/detailing experience in the Structural field
• Minimum of 7 years of Revit Structure experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proficient with modeling steel and concrete building structures
• Proficient with Bluebeam

• 10 years of Revit Structure experience
• Proficient with Navisworks (or equivalent) and Bluebeam
• AutoCAD or Micro Station design experience

• Has advanced and specialized expertise in analytical/technical processes, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience

• Analyzes and performs the most complex technical problems and delivers solutions where precedent may not exist

• May lead one or more teams, including coordinating work beyond own area, but is not a supervisor

The base salary range for this position is $ to $; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
