Job Title:

Project Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering to oversee the production of civil sitework design packages and provide general civil engineering support. The role involves managing engineering consultants, participating in site evaluations, and ensuring the quality of engineering deliverables.

Responsibilities:

+ Manage the timely production of civil sitework design packages and oversee contract engineering consultants.

+ Conduct quality control reviews on deliverables and provide oversight and direction to project teams.

+ Participate in site evaluation and selection for new facilities, providing professional engineering input.

+ Conduct due diligence on selected sites during land acquisition.

+ Provide general civil engineering support, including diagnosing stormwater and drainage issues.

+ Utilize CAD tools, specifically Civil 3D, to perform design tasks.

+ Perform quality control and quality assurance of design deliverables.

+ Conduct site visits for statewide projects for evaluation, design meetings, and construction quality assurance.

+ Evaluate and provide input on scopes, schedules, and budgets for civil activities.

+ Coordinate regularly with departmental colleagues, project management, and construction partners.

Essential

Skills:

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a closely related field from an ABET-accredited university.

+ Working knowledge of the Georgia Erosion and Sedimentation Control Act, NPDES construction stormwater permit requirements, and related regulations.

+ Ability to interpret and utilize data for civil site design activities.

+ Working knowledge of land surveying, land records, and land acquisition.

+ Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.

+ Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.

+ Working knowledge of GIS tools.

+ 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in civil site development projects.

+ Design experience in grading and drainage, stormwater management, and erosion/sediment control.

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

+ GSWCC Level II Design Professional Certification preferred.

+ Professional Engineer's license (PE) in the State of Georgia is strongly preferred.

+ Design experience as an engineer of record on civil site development projects preferred.

+ Ability to travel statewide and conduct outdoor walkdowns and inspections.

+ Valid driver's license required.

Work Environment:

The position is based at the corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA, with an in-office requirement from Monday to Thursday. Remote working is available on Fridays, provided reliable internet access. The work environment includes a cubicle setting with some field visits.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $68.00/hr.
