Junior Structural Engineer

Overview

This individual is intended to function as a junior structural engineer. The individual must be able to demonstrate a strong foundational understanding of relevant engineering principals, a commitment to outstanding customer service (internal and external), a drive to succeed. While this is an office based position, some travel may be required. Some of the responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications and technical reports, develop design details and seek help when needed. Individual is expected to be well-versed in foundations of structural engineering.
• Assist project development by being an engaged team member, asking questions to seek to understand, and speaking up about potential concerns or problems when appropriate.
• Coordinate effectively with other members of assigned projects.

• Minimum B.S. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited University or equal
• 0-3 years of experience, inclusive of working, internships, or similar
• Willingness to take FE & register as EIT in first 6 months of employment, if not already obtained
• Ability to demonstrate base knowledge and familiarity in of relevant codes and standards, such as ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, ACI

• Master s Degree
• Very strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• $75k - $90K per year, depending on all candidate factors; such as qualifications, experience level, etc.
