Systems Engineer, Automation & Mechatronics Engineer
Job Description
- Design and develop complete Building Automation Systems (BAS), including controllers, sensors, communication networks, and associated hardware.
- Create and develop sequences of operation for HVAC and building automation systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Engineer integrated control solutions for commercial and industrial building applications.
- Collaborate with project teams, customers, and stakeholders to translate system requirements into effective control system designs.
- Select and specify appropriate BAS components, control devices, and network architectures.
- Support system commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts as needed.
- Apply strong knowledge of building controls, HVAC systems, and industry-standard BAS platforms.
- Ensure designs meet project specifications, energy efficiency goals, and applicable industry standards.
- Proven experience designing complete BAS solutions, including controllers, sensors, networks, and field devices.
- Experience developing and implementing sequences of operation for HVAC and building automation systems.
- Strong understanding of building controls, automation strategies, and system integration.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $75.98/hr.
