BAS Controls Engineer; Remote

Job Description

• Design and develop complete Building Automation Systems (BAS), including controllers, sensors, communication networks, and associated hardware.
• Create and develop sequences of operation for HVAC and building automation systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
• Engineer integrated control solutions for commercial and industrial building applications.
• Collaborate with project teams, customers, and stakeholders to translate system requirements into effective control system designs.
• Select and specify appropriate BAS components, control devices, and network architectures.
• Support system commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts as needed.
• Apply strong knowledge of building controls, HVAC systems, and industry-standard BAS platforms.
• Ensure designs meet project specifications, energy efficiency goals, and applicable industry standards.

• Proven experience designing complete BAS solutions, including controllers, sensors, networks, and field devices.
• Experience developing and implementing sequences of operation for HVAC and building automation systems.
• Strong understanding of building controls, automation strategies, and system integration.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $75.98/hr.
