Engineering Manager – Sheet Metal and Assemblies
We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive the successful execution of engineering projects for new product development, custom solutions, and global manufacturing initiatives. The role encompasses technical performance, budgets, schedules, and team development.
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate multiple complex product development projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
- Make sound technical and project decisions to resolve challenges, maintain project momentum, and provide clear direction.
- Communicate project priorities, expectations, timelines, and progress effectively with team members, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Foster accountability through coaching, performance feedback, and the ability to navigate difficult conversations with confidence and professionalism.
- Influence and align cross‑functional teams to achieve project objectives, regardless of direct reporting relationships.
- Provide technical leadership by successfully guiding teams through complex engineering and new product development initiatives.
- Apply product development expertise to anticipate risks, overcome technical challenges, and drive successful project execution from concept through launch.
- Monitor project performance, prioritize resources, and proactively remove obstacles to keep development programs on schedule and aligned with business goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
- 8+ years of development engineering experience with at least 3 years of engineering leadership experience.
- Experience with sheet‑metal design, NX and Teamcenter, CAD, and UL certification preferred.
- Proven experience in the complete product development process, including New Product Introduction into manufacturing.
- Experience with Unigraphics a plus; datacenter and enterprise knowledge preferred (e.g., structure cabling or sheet‑metal manufacturers of cases or enclosures).
- Ability to travel 10% both domestically and internationally.
- Competitive base salary $120,000–$155,000, with incentive plan based on individual and company performance.
