Salary: USD
120000 - USD
160000 per annum
We are partnered with a growing DBE engineering firm with approximately 100 employees that is continuing to expand its transportation practice across the Southeast. Due to a strong project backlog and continued growth, they are seeking a Roadway Engineer to support the delivery of roadway and transportation projects throughout Georgia and neighboring markets. While the team is based in Atlanta, this position is open to fully remote candidates, offering an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, employee-focused firm with strong career growth potential and a flexible work environment.
TheRoadway Engineer will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing roadway improvement projects for state, municipal, and transportation agency clients.
- Preparing construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting technical documentation.
- Coordinating with project managers, clients, subconsultants, and internal engineering teams throughout project delivery.
- Performing geometric design, corridor studies, and roadway drainage coordination as required.
- Assisting with project scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
- Supporting client relationships and participating in project meetings and presentations.
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continued growth of the transportation team.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years of roadway design experience within consulting engineering.
- Experience with transportation projects for DOT, municipal, or local government clients.
- Proficiency with Micro Station, Open Roads Designer, Civil 3D, or similar roadway design software.
- PE license or ability to obtain PE registration in Georgia preferred.
- Strong understanding of roadway geometry, construction plans, and transportation design standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
