We are seeking a Supervising Electrical Engineer/Designer to join our Chicago, IL office. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing trade‑specific system design: layout (mark‑ups as well as self‑performed production utilizing CAD/BIM), calculations (utilizing appropriate software), and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades.

Job Responsibilities- Assume responsible charge for the overall economic wellbeing of the assigned projects.
- Conduct due diligence reports that comply with group and company standards and procedures. Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
- Design large projects, prepare reports and specifications, and provide a very high level of technical leadership.
- Establish project budgets and schedules.
- Networks within SHG and outside.
- Participate in QA/QC process of completed work by staff.
- Perform “Engineer of Record” duties for projects.
- Perform calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration.
- Perform staff resource management and review.
- Produce drawings consistent with client requirements and standards.
- Provide consulting engineering services including preparation of due diligence reports, gap analyses, and feasibility reports.
- Pursue continuing education.
- Represent Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members.
- Take responsible charge for the project for his/her discipline, addressing any E & O issues.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Mechanical, Plumbing or Electrical discipline.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in the MEP industry.
- PE is required.
- Hands‑on design and CAD/REVIT experience, required, as you will have a very strong technical role.

Chicago Pay Range: $115,448 - $168,173 USD
