The Project Manager facilitates the execution of project/program solution plan for clearly defined sub-projects or sub-programs. This role requires the coordination and delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects considered small to medium in complexity with financial impact between $100K and $2.5M.
As a Project Manager, you will:
* Have fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.
* Be responsible for delivery of results for the respective process steps.
* Guide technical or administrative staff.
* Act as a functional process resource on projects or programs
* Contribute to continuous improvement plan.
* Perform active role in maintaining functionally focused client relationships.
* Be responsible for several small projects.
* Review project specifications, drawings and project-specific documents to establish project intent.
* Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team. Identify time-sensitive installation needs.
* Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
* Review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
* Assist Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
* Conduct an orientation for project technicians and provide project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, project contacts, etc.
* Track resources and projects progress.
* Document project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
* Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
* Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing; coordinate with Accounting team and Operations Manager.
* Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provides commissioning documentation.
* Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development.
* Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
* Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements.
* Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions and actions.
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
* Technical experience in the HVAC controls industry
* 1+ years of experience managing projects or similar
* Knowledge and understanding of HVAC industry applications; ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams
* Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet
* Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
* Verbal and written communication skills in English
* Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
* Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
* Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
* Associate or Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
* 3+ years of technical experience in the HVAC controls
