Join Macquarie’s Market Services as a Trade Operations Analyst within North American Gas. The Operations Division supports settlement of a variety of financial and physical products in support of our Commodity Markets and Finance division. The division works in a time‑sensitive environment where accuracy of processing, timely escalation and communication with stakeholders and risk management is essential to ensuring a smooth settlement process.

What

role will you play?

You will provide essential, business‑aligned operational support to the Commodities and Global Markets group. You will support end‑to‑end processes for physical gas trading activities, ensuring accurate and timely settlement, reconciliation, and actualization of gas pipeline volumes. You will work closely with stakeholders across trading, risk, treasury, and finance to perform decentralized reconciliations of books and records, resolve discrepancies, and support treasury‑related activities.

This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage time‑sensitive processes while maintaining data integrity, and contribution to continuous improvement efforts through data, workflow or basic programming tools.

What you offer
  • A minimum of two years relevant back‑office trade support or settlement experience
  • Working knowledge of reconciliation and actualization of gas pipeline volumes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience supporting treasury‑related activities
  • Experience performing decentralized reconciliations of books and records
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time‑sensitive processes
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across trading, risk, and finance teams
  • Experience working with basic programming, data, or workflow tools such as Python, R, Alteryx, or Power BI is a plus
