Job Description
UPS is seeking a high‑potential Commercial FP&A Supervisor to support financial planning, reporting, and analysis across the Marketing, Communications, and Strategy organizations. This role partners closely with finance leadership and cross‑functional teams—including Procurement, HR, Payroll, and GAC—to deliver accurate financial insights, ensure effective cost management, and support key business initiatives.
This position is ideal for an early‑career professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for innovation, including the use of automation, data analytics, and emerging technologies to modernize FP&A processes and enhance decision support.
Key Responsibilities- Support annual business planning, monthly financial close, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to manage budgets, track expenses, and support funding approvals (ACC, Coupa)
- Provide financial insights and reporting to support informed business decisions
- Collaborate with Procurement, HR, Payroll, and GAC on vendor, personnel, and transactional activities
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes using tools such as Power Automate, AI‑enabled analytics, and dashboards
- Assist with audit, fixed asset management, and ongoing compliance activities
- Provide guidance and support to Commercial teams on financial processes and tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 1–2 years of relevant experience (internships or co‑ops considered)
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Interest in financial systems, data tools, and emerging technologies (e.g., Excel, Power BI, automation tools)
- Innovation mindset with interest in AI and process automation
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
- Results‑oriented with a sense of urgency and ownership
- This position is an internal Grade Level 20E
- Candidate must be located in the same geographic region as the position or willing to self‑relocate
- This position will report to the UPS Corporate office at 55 Glenlake Parkway with an in‑office expectation of 4 days in office and 1 day working from home
