Job Description & ResponsibilitiesArmory is seeking both investment banking associates and financial advisory associates for our growing investment banking business and creditor advisory practice. The role requires strong financial modeling background and the ability to complete high‑quality work products in high‑pressure, client‑critical, transaction‑oriented situations.
Our associates will work on projects that provide exposure to various financial advisory and investment banking products and industries. The Chicago‑based associate will have exposure to multiple industries, including industrials, software & technology, business services, manufacturing, consumer & retail, and food & beverage. Associates will be involved in a variety of transactions, such as debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalization, valuations, and restructuring assignments.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree or MBA with a well‑rounded academic background from a top‑tier educational institution
- Minimum two to three years of investment banking or restructuring experience
- Strong interest in M&A, debt and equity capital markets, special situations, and restructuring
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, including experience in financial modeling and financial statement analysis, and the development of three‑statement financial models and 13‑week cash flow models
- Self‑directed, highly motivated, able to learn and work independently in a fast‑paced, challenging environment and manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated team player and leader with a strong motivation to contribute to a positive team culture and experience training junior professionals
- SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 licenses required at time of hiring or expected to be obtained shortly thereafter
This is a full‑time position based in Chicago, IL. It is a hybrid role, with both in‑office and remote work. The target start date is immediate. Travel will be required pensation includes base salary, discretionary bonus commensurate with the industry, and full benefits (including health, dental, vision, flexible spending account, and 401(k)).
