Business Performance LoB Lead

As the Business Performance LoB Lead, you will develop a new dimension of performance management focusing on line‑of‑business (LoB) insights, set the direction for how these insights are delivered, and support management’s growing focus on LoB performance.
What you will do:- Shape and deliver LoB performance management and advanced actuarial insights by building and implementing performance frameworks for individual lines of business, conducting deep dives into portfolio performance, claims development, and reserving, and establishing best practices for LoB reporting.
- Act as the key PPM business partner to ZNA Underwriting and Actuarial teams, joining leadership meetings, providing finance updates, and contributing to projects and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with the broader PPM team to transform and enhance ZNA forecasting and planning processes, driving process automation, data quality, and actionable insights.
- Build a strong partnership with actuarial teams in Bratislava, fostering a high‑performing environment focused on robust performance analysis and value delivery.
- Proven experience in business performance management, financial planning, or analysis – ideally in insurance or financial services.
- Sound actuarial background with a strong grasp of insurance P&L and end‑to‑end insurance business.
- Track record in developing and implementing new frameworks, preferably at LoB or product level.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, especially Underwriting and Actuarial.
- Experience leading or contributing to forecasting, planning, and performance reporting transformations.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and relationship‑building skills, including cross‑cultural teamwork.
- Analytical thinking with a pragmatic approach to process improvement and business value.
- Advanced skills in financial systems and analytics tools such as SAP, Power BI, and Excel.
- Bachelor's Degree and 7 or more years of experience in accounting or finance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an associate degree and 7 or more years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills and experience communicating financial and business results to senior leaders.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to apply structured approaches to incomplete information.
- Insurance industry experience.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Experience with financial reporting systems, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word, Thinkcell, Business Objects, or other query tools.
- MBA or other professional certifications.
The proposed salary range for this position is $94,100.00 – $, with short‑term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%. Bonuses, merit increases, and other incentives may be awarded at Zurich’s discretion.
