We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Analyst to join our global tax team. This role is ideal for a tax professional with 5–10 years of experience in U.S. and Canada tax compliance, particularly within a multinational or consulting environment. You will play a key role in supporting our U.S. and Canada tax compliance processes, ensuring timely and accurate filings, and assisting with tax planning, provision, and audit support.

You will report to the Global Americas Senior Tax Manager.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and review U.S. federal and state income tax returns, including Forms 1120, 5471, 8858, and 8865, as well as estimated tax payments

Prepare and review Canada federal and provincial income tax returns and estimates

Assist with annual tax provision calculations under IAS 12
Support the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transaction reporting

Prepare and review U.S. indirect tax filings, including sales & use and Chicago lease transaction tax

Prepare and review Canada indirect tax filings (e.g., GST/HST, QST)

Maintain and reconcile tax accounts and ensure compliance with internal controls

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and coordinate with external advisors for compliance and reporting

Monitor U.S. tax legislation and assess its implications on the company

Assist with federal, state, and local tax audits, including responding to inquiries and data requests

Support process improvement and automation initiatives (experience with Alteryx is a plus)

We want to hear from you if you:

Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MST preferred)

Have 5–10 years of experience in U.S. and Canada tax compliance, ideally in a multinational or public accounting firm

Possess strong knowledge of U.S. and Canada federal, state, and provincial tax regulations

Are experienced with tax software (e.g., One Source) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and proficient in Excel

Demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Can work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced, global environment

Have a process-oriented mindset and an interest in automation and continuous improvement

Senior Tax Analyst compensation range: $90k-$115k. It is important to note that at Kearney, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Kearney reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.

In addition to salary, individuals may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
