Senior Finance Analyst – Finance Business Partnership
ZS seeks an experienced finance professional to join our finance team in Chicago. Successful candidates will be an instrumental part of the Finance Business Partnership (FBP) team, providing strategic analysis and insight to client teams to influence actions that steer firm direction.
What You'll Do- Support the firm in its goal to drive and improve performance in line with strategic plans;
- Work with FBP Team Leads in supporting Client facing Principals and Project Management Teams to ensure financial success of our client engagements;
- Support with regular reporting and analysis, as well as conducting proactive analysis on financial status and outlook;
- Explain key findings, highlight areas of concern and variances to senior finance and business stakeholders;
- Engage effectively with project teams and finance colleagues at all levels to identify and resolve any financial issues relating to a particular space;
- Understand P&L revenue and cost drivers to aid client leads in improving profitability for a space;
- Support with creation and maintenance of detailed forecasts for revenue, cost, and profit, including pipeline tracking/business development support;
- Update revenue and profit forecasts for client accounts, markets, and regions, and perform cost analysis to capture insights on company expense trends.
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business or related field; master’s degree a plus;
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in Commercial Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, or similar field;
- Strong software and analytical skills using MS Excel/VBA/macros and experience with large data sets a plus;
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills in a multi‑stakeholder environment;
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multitask;
- Curiosity for how a business performs and can improve;
- Motivation, personal initiative and strong collaborative skills.
