Summary/Objectives:
This position assists the Mortgage Banker as a point of contact for customers, builders, and realtors during the application process and supports the Mortgage Banker in their effort to increase production volume for the area as directed by the MOL. Ensures compliance with South State Banks Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other operating procedures. Completes compliance training, adheres to all anti-money laundering guidelines and procedures and all regulatory requirements.
- Assist Mortgage Banker as a point of contact for customers, builders, and realtors during the application process.
- Support the Mortgage Banker in their effort to increase production volume for the area as directed by the banker.
- Track loans through closing; answer customer questions regarding status of files and underwriting requirements.
- Other related administrative duties as needed and/or assigned.

- Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. - Experience:
Previous experience with FHA, State Housing Conventional, and FNMA/FMLMC loans is preferred. - Certifications/Specific Knowledge:
Excellent communication and PC skills required along with strong written and verbal skills. - Training:
Required annual compliance training.
Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.
Work Environment and Travel- Telecommuting roles (hybrid or 100% remote) require a secure home office environment free from background noise and distractions and a reliable internet connection (not supplied by cellular data). Cable or fiber connections are preferred.
