About the ProgramOur Summer Internship is a 10-12 week program designed to provide hands‑on experience and exposure to the dynamic world of private wealth, commercial banking and technology. As an intern, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, participate in real projects, and gain insight into how technology drives innovation and client solutions at CIBC.

As a Private Wealth intern, you will:
Learn through hands‑on assignments, structured training, and exposure to both technical and analytical skill development. Connect by networking across the bank, engaging with employees and fellow interns, and meeting with our executive leadership team. Grow through mentorship, leadership support, and community outreach, while developing both soft and hard skills essential for your future career.
Collaborative team player with a keen attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite:
Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Capable of thriving in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment
Currently a junior or senior pursuing a major in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field Outstanding communication skills Adaptability and agility in dynamic situations Strong teamwork and partnership mindset Thoroughness in execution and follow‑through Forward‑thinking and strategic approach to problem‑solving Conceptual thinking and ability to connect ideas to solutions Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected hourly rate of $25.00 per hour for the State of Illinois market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
